It also offers excellent potential to be converted into a self-contained annexe, subject to any required consents.
Externally, the property enjoys a private and enclosed rear garden, thoughtfully landscaped to include patio seating areas beneath which lies a 3,500L rain water harvesting tank, an artificial lawn, and well-stocked mature flower and shrub borders, along with a garden shed. The space is enclosed by a combination of brick walls and timber fencing, ensuring a high degree of privacy. Owners Statement
This was the biggest house on the estate, being both the show home and sales office when we bought it in 1998, 2300 sq ft, 5 double bedrooms, 2 with ensuite, double aspect through lounge, absolutely wonderful, for us & our 3 sons.
Then we extended it, 1300 sq ft more! A huge kitchen diner and orangery to the rear, a 3 bay office, shower room and 550 sq ft games room to the second floor. That’s a 3,600 sq ft house, yet only council tax band F.
The bifold doors all open up on the ground floor for free access, seating 18 for dinner, or hosting 40 in comfort for a celebration, making the ultimate entertainment house, or a huge house plus business premises, or ideal for a very large extended family. Despite the extension, the back garden is surprisingly spacious and very low maintenance, providing sun or shade all day long, again a wonderful entertainment place.
The garage was the sales office, then playroom, then home office, never a garage. Perhaps a granny annex next?
Environmentally surprising, super-insulated when extended, a 3,500L rainwater harvesting tank easy to heat, naturally cool in summer.
We are much older, the boys have moved away, relocation to a smaller, mobility impaired home is now imperative.
